Life is full of choices

When you replace fats in your diet with calories made up carbohydrates you get an additional benefit. Complex carbohydrates such as whole bread require the body to work harder to get the energy out of these calories, so some of the calories are actually burned in the processing of these foods in the body. In fact, your body doesn't even like to change carbohydrates to fat. It prefers to keep them in the form of glycogen(that's the energy stored in your muscles and liver) so they will be ready for immediate use when you exercise.

This means that carbohydrates should be the food of choice for everyone. The body prefers to use carbs but it prefers to store fat. So when you eat a baked potato topped with butter and sour cream, the potato will be burned up before you eat your next meal. The butter and sour cream, however, will likely be stored somewhere in body.

Life is full of choices, and most them affect us in one way or another. While choosing the right foods can affect your life today, choosing to serve God will affect you for all eternity.
