Very nice notebook :D

Ask any boy (and men, for that matter) to name a supercar and chances are pretty good that they will come up with Porsche, Bugatti, Maserati, Lamborghini and most definitely Ferrari. Yes sir, the prancing horse brand has certainly seared itself into the collective consciousness of everyone worldwide, and this has even spilt over to the world of computers. Acer has come up with Ferrari notebooks in the past, but this time round their latest effort will see them make a really big splash with the luxurious Acer Ferrari One notebook.

Tongs :)

Do you spend plenty of time in the kitchen whipping up delicious morsels for yourself and the family? Chances are the rite of passage to being a good chef often involves getting burned in the process, and we’re talking about physically as well as the food. With the Fusion Silicon Finger Tongs, things might change for the better, and if you use it from the outset of your cooking ‘career’, you might not even experience the feeling of being scalded throughout your life

These tongs fit on your hands like a puppet, letting your digits control the opening-and-closing of the silicon mitts. Reach right into the pan, and pull out the bacon, or burgers, or broccoli if that’s how you roll. These Silicon Finger Tongs resist heat up to 500 degrees, so don’t worry about disfiguring burns.

Racing sled

This is the Alpine racing sled with a built-in shock absorber that irons out bumps during rapid, downhill descents. Designed in Germany, the sled’s corrosion-resistant, aircraft aluminum alloy frame uses a shrouded 6 1/2″ spring–the same used in off-road bicycles–to significantly reduce the effect of bumps on the lower back. The wide runners have polyethylene glide bars that provide superior gliding and tracking, and you can even use ski wax to optimize their performance. Turns are performed by leaning to either side or using one’s feet. The polycarbonate seat and footholds place riders 11″ above the ground. The handbrake located between the legs consists of an aluminum claw that grips the snow and ice directly beneath the center of mass of the sled without altering the direction of travel, enabling you to slough off speed, but also providing absolute, confident stops. Supports riders up to 220 lbs.

Anime review

Makoto Ito rides the train to and from school every day. However, at the beginning of his second term, he falls in love with a beautiful girl that also rides the train. Unfortunately, she barely knows of his existence. Her name is Kotonoha Katsura, and though they attend the same school, they are not in the same class. In an attempt to catch her eye, Makoto enlists the aid of a close female friend of his: Sekai Saionji. She helps him, despite the fact that she--unbeknownst to Makoto--is in love with him. Thus the three are bound in a love triangle of life changing proportions.

Honda Bicycle Simulator

This bicycle simulator was initially built for traffic safety education but due to the buzz around the product Honda have decided to bring them onto the Japanese market early next year. The simulator allows the user to cycle through a host of different conditions, without the risk of being knocked down by another vehicle. You won't have to experience the wet weather, or the cold conditons either, but can safely and warmly use the simulator from the comfort of your own home.

The simulator will come pre-loaded with a whole range of different scenarios, including 'Going to School', 'Going to the grocery store', 'Going to cram school' and 'visiting a local shopping street', as well as others. The simulator will appeal to many different organisations and people, including public offices, law-enforcement agencies, driving schools and educational establishments.

Pre-sale orders will begin in November this year.

Scanner Cleverly Disguised As A Book

What do you get if you cross a scanner with a book? Well, erm, one of these I guess. This idea seems a little bizarre, but it is definitely unique and actually makes a rather bland looking scanner look slightly more impressive. A scanner has been modified to appear like a book, and charted his progress on his own website. Being tired of the boring aesthetics of a flatbed scanner, DataMancer took it upon himself to solve this issue, and add a degree of style to it. By hollowing out a book, the scanner was placed inside, and I'm assuming that any type of book can be used to suit your own personality.

It's always the strangest ideas that seem to achieve the highest attention, and I wouldn't be surprised to see scanner modifications popping up all over the internet fairly soon. How about a scanner, disguised as a coffee table, or a scanner disguised as a lamp shade? Ok, now we're being silly…

Laser Cosmos Brings The Universe Into Your Room..

Just occasionally a product comes along that simply blows us away. We get to see a lot of crazy and sometimes brilliant inventions, but Laser Cosmos is without a doubt the most superb one we've seen. There is no product out there that comes even close to the sheer excellence of this galactic wonder - sorry to sound quite so effusive, but really, it's staggering.

Imagine lying in your room, and having the ceiling whipped away to reveal the vast outreaches of the cosmos whirling overhead, complete with misty blue nebulae (which you can turn on and off!) and the occasional shooting star. Fully adjustable and requiring no set up, this super powerful space projector scatters a random panoply of sparkling green stars that will fill any room from the tiniest bedroom to the largest warehouse with a crystal clear animated star display. What's so clever about this (apart from everything of course) is that it seems so three-dimensional, the varying brightness of different stars makes some seem close and others to come from distant galaxies.

Created from powerful green laser and holographic technology, a display this bright and clear has never been available before. It's utterly mesmerising, and had us transfixed for hours (literally). Whether you're zoning out to music, throwing a party or just chilling, this stunning cosmic light show is like nothing we've ever seen before. Truly one of the most amazing light shows you will see anywhere.

Features

* Romantic, mesmerising star and cloud projector.
* The Laser Cosmos will fill any room, no matter how big or small with a carpet of stars, blue clouds (optional), and even shooting stars.
* The Laser Cosmos itself is shaped like a funky 3D star.
* The Laser Cosmos can be pivoted to any angle.
* A Laser Stars projector lens.
* A cloud formation projector lens.
* A cloud brightness control.
* The projector is self-focussing.
* For best results use in total darkness.
* Use for no more than four hours at a time (the On/Off switch is helpful here).
* Suitable for ages 8 years+.
* Requires a mains adaptor (UK adaptor included).
* Size: 29 x 25 x 20cm.

Love golf?

Hammacher Schlemmer have produced a realistic golf video arcade game. The machine offers the user the best experience in miniature golf, and is similar to the machines found in popular arcade venues. The machine utilises real golf balls and real golf putters, whilst the courses are disaplyed virtually on screen, via the 32-inch LCD display. The game allows up to four players to participate at any one time, with two courses to choose from, the casino based Las Vegas course as well as the tiki torch orinted Paradise Island.

Shot controls include the ability to adjust the view, by panning left and right, and also the option to view from overhead, or directly behind the ball. Options which will allow you to plan the best route to the hall. As you make contact with the ball, and it approaches the screen, the machine calculates both the trajectory and position of the ball, with sound emitting from a trio of speakers.

Nice faucet :D

This gadget may not be particularly ground-breaking but it certainly does offer a very valuable benefit to those in the kitchen. We've all been in the scenario of having our hands full, and needing to contort ourselves just to turn on the tap, to wash our hands.

Well, let me introduce to you the touch sensitive faucet. Both the spout and handle are touch sensitive, so one small touch on either part will cause the water to fall. The faucet comes in two different styles, the chrome finished faucet and the stainless steel version, which will cost slightly more. The faucet can clevery differentiate between a touch and a grab, so temeperature levels are not going to constantly fluctuate.

♥ SNSD ♥

Girls' Generation (Hangul: Korean: 소녀시대; Hanja: Korean: 少女時代) is a South Korean nine-member girl group formed by SM Entertainment in 2007. Its members include (in order of official announcement) Yoona, Tiffany, Yuri, Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, Seohyun, Taeyeon (leader), Jessica, and Sunny. International Girls' Generation fans usually refer to the group as SNSD, the acronym of the group's Korean name So Nyeo Shi Dae or So Nyuh Shi Dae.

-I really love them all! LOL! ^_^

Highlight of the week

Defense of the Ancients (DotA) is a custom scenario for the real-time strategy video game Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and its expansion, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, based on the "Aeon of Strife" map for StarCraft. The objective of the scenario is for each team to destroy the opponents' Ancients, heavily guarded structures at opposing corners of the map. Players use powerful units known as heroes, and are assisted by allied heroes and AI-controlled fighters called "creeps". As in role-playing games, players level up their hero and use gold to buy equipment during the mission.

The scenario was developed with the "World Editor" of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, and was updated upon the release of the expansion, The Frozen Throne. There have been many variations of the original concept; the most popular is DotA Allstars, which has been maintained by several authors during development. The current developer is known by his pseudonym as "IceFrog", and has been developing the game since 2005.

Since its release, Allstars has become a feature at several worldwide tournaments, including Blizzard Entertainment's BlizzCon and the Asian World Cyber Games, as well as the Cyberathlete Amateur and CyberEvolution leagues; Gamasutra declared that DotA was perhaps the most popular "free, non-supported game mod in the world".

Kean says: I really love this game! This is a strategy game wherein two teams fight each other in order to obtain the base(frozen throne) of the enemy.

Need for arcade games! :D

Video arcade games are fast becoming a thing of the past, with only a handful of games making their way into full-scale arcade machines, such as Dance Dance Revolution. The latest game to try and revive the popularity of arcade machines is Textminator.

The game focuses on texting, and unfortunately not the Terminator. Since kids these days seem to be so keen on texting, and the ability to text fast, this game sets up a challenge between two contestants to have a "text-off", using stainless steel phone-like keypads.

High scores are logged on the machine using the player's initials, and there is also an inbuilt camera, which takes a snapshot of the player to be showcased on the hall of fame leader board.

In a modern video arcade we really can't see this proving too popular, especially next to shoot em' up games and driving games, but you never know, it might just catch on and end up in a texting frenzy.

So cue Textminator, Rise of the arcade Machines.

Soccer mania!

For soccer fans everywhere, looking forward to the World Cup next year in South Africa, there have been a series of soccer shaped fans manufactured. These solar powered fans are soccer-shaped and provide a touch of relief from the warm Summer weather. This clever, solar-powered Soccer-shaped fan circulates the air to help reduce the temperature without the need for standard electricity.

It is handy and easy to use. The blades will spin as long as the round fan is opened and the sunlight falls on the solar panel. The solar fan is really a must for soccer fans or people going out.

Stressed?

This watch not only looks fantastic, but serves a great purpose which really should have been invented before now. But alas, it is now available.

The stress watch is aimed at busy people, with hectic lives, as it monitors stress levels throughout the day, and indicates your levels via a black bar graph on the screen. The blues and greens indicate a mellow mood, compared to pinks, reds, and oranges which indicate a stressed out individual.

Thankfully, the watch also tells the time (as you may expect), so you will never miss an appointment or meeting, though these meetings may cause your stress levels to soar. Once the stress levels hit a peak, you can take a rest and watch as your levels (hopefully) begin to drop.

The device is currently only a prototype, but one which many, many people would like to see come into production.
